December 27, 2017 - Courier-Journal: Lawsuit: Retirement systems gambled on hedge funds, concealed its financial mess

This article describes our suit Mayberry v. KKR & Co. LP, which we are handling with lawyers from Kentucky,Washington DC, California and Texas. We're proud to be reresenting the eight plaintiffs in prosecuting this lawsuit regarding the Kentucky Retirement System Public Pension Plan which is of significant importance to the entire Commonwealth. There are now thirty defendants (not including the Retirement System, a nominal defendent) represented by twenty-one (21) law firms and sixty (60) lawyers. On November 30, 2018,the trial judge overruled all but one of the extensive motions to dismiss filed by those defendants, bringing the number to the current thirty adverse parties.
